  1. Do you think you will offer any morning classes in the near future?

How far off of 485 are you?

Would love to join your Saturday afternoon class…but, I cannot be there for the first class.

  2. I bought my daughter an embroidery machine for Christmas and even thought she is very comfortable with her regular sewing machine and serger, she is a bit intimidated with the embroidery machine. Do you offer lessons specifically for embroidery machines?

  3. I own a bow tie business, and I am interested in learning how to sew bow ties, not really anything else. I have my own machine (*which I have no idea how to use), would that fit under your bring your own project class?

    • If you have never worked with a sewing machine you really need the beginner class so you learn the machine first.

  4. What is normal procedure if a student has to miss a class. In your may 5- June 9 session, I will be out of town on week 3. Is there material I could do at home. Just curious before I move forward to sign up. Thanks!

  5. I am very interested in taking a sewing class with you but I’m not sure which one is best for me, adult 1 or 2. I know how to sew and handle my machine for the most part but I am self taught and feel I may could benefit from learning from scratch… I have both a regular and a serger machine and I can handle them both well. Should I start with adult 1 or 2?. I can basically sew well enough for home projects but I can definitely use some help to make my finished product more professional…. which class would you recommended for me? Thanks in advance

    • I’ve had many people that could sew taking my Sewing 1 class and have told me they was very gladd they did. That they learned a lot from that one, that they did not know before.

  6. Hi I just received a sewing machine for Christmas from my kids and was wanting to take a beginner class because I have no idea where to even begin and don’t want the machine to just collect dust. So I am wondering if you may have any beginner classes at the hobby lobby in Matthews? I live in Olde Providence and just recently moved to the Charlotte area and do not know much about the area but I do know my way around Matthews!
    Thanks for your time!

    • Mandi the closed class its at my home/studio right off 485 at ext 39 right after you pass mint hill area. I would love you have you in one of my classes

  7. Hi!

I am interested in learning how to sew! I have my own sewing machine…so where how I start? Are the classes at your home 1 on 1? That is closer to my location here in charlotte.

    • The classes here at my home/office/studio are not 1 on 1, but a small class of 6 people. My next one starts This session meets on Tuesdays FEB 24 – March 31 2015 at Hobby Lobby on Ikea Blvd, the next one here starts This session meets on Saturday FEB 28 – APRIL 5 21 2015 one day a week from 1:00pm – 3:00pm here the

    • Yes I talk about that the first day, so I tell students if you don’t have a sewing machine please wait for the first day because I will let you know which ones are junk and which are good machines. I also talk about which shops to stay away from.

  8. hi Ruth. I’m interested in sewing. This will be my first time learning. Do you teach at your studio/classes the same 3 classes you teach at cpcc? It’s a little more but is it more structured? I’d love to take all three classes so I can make some of my own clothes. Where do I begin?
    Thanks

    • I would love to teach you how to sew. I am only teaching the intro to sewing at Cpcc that start Jan 14 2015. The class I teach at Cpcc it’s the same class I teach here at my home/studio or at Hobby Lobby. I see you live near the Ikea so my classes at Hobby Lobby would be very close to you.

    • At this time I do not have on at the Hobby Lobby in Matthews, but my home office it just 10 miles right off 485 at ext 39 for the Hobby Lobby in Matthews
